Kirsten Peterson is a Project Director in EDC's Center for Online Professional Education where she manages curriculum development and updates for the EdTech Leaders Online professional development and virtual school training programs. A member of the core project staff since the inception of EdTech Leaders Online in the fall of 2000, Kirsten has contributed to the design and implementation of ETLO's training programs, online workshops, facilitator support systems and overall program growth.
With a decade of experience in the field of online teaching and learning, Kirsten is skilled in curriculum development and online facilitation using both commercial and open-source course management systems; management and sustainability of online learning programs; and quality control systems for content management.
Before her work on EdTech Leaders Online, Kirsten designed and directed projects related to networked communities for teachers and administrators; served as an editor for both print and online journals; and taught English, Journalism and Desktop Publishing at the high school level.
Kirsten holds a B.A. in English Literature from Montana State University and an Ed.M. in Technology in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
